How do I verify my SEOContest2008 blog in Google?
To verify your SEOContest2008 site/blog, just follow the simple and easy steps.
1. With your Google account (Gmail address), sign into Google Webmaster Tools.
2. On the Dashboard of your account, Add your site with the complete URL. Example: http://seocontest2008.easysteps4u.com. Take note, you are allowed to add any sites, including news and mobile sites.
3. Then, click Add Site.
In order to complete the Google verification process, you need to add META verification code. There are two options in verifying your site; (1) Add a meta tag, and (2) Upload an HTML file.
In my case, I selected the Add a meta tag method. It’s more easier! Just copy the meta tag (it will be listed below the drop down button) and paste it in your site’s index page (home page) in the <HEAD> section. And once you have done, back to the page and click Verify.
And a confirmation message displays:
You’ve successfully verified http://seocontest2008.easysteps4u.com/.

Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Mar 16, 2008.
Pages from your site are included in Google’s index.
Once you have verified your site, Google can provide comprehensive statistics and error information about the pages in your site.
